Accessing this useful lifestyle feature is simple.
Open your Zapper app
Make sure you have the latest version of the Zapper app installed on your phone to unlock the “My Cards” feature. If you haven’t updated the app in a while, head to your app store to ensure it’s up-to-date.
Navigate to the “My Cards” tab
Once inside the app, locate the “Loyalty” quadrant on the home page and then the “My Cards” tab when you open the feature.
This is your new hub for managing loyalty cards, memberships, and store accounts all in one place. The interface is designed to make navigation simple and intuitive, so you’re ready to go in just a few taps.
How it works
Getting started with “My Cards” is easy. Follow these steps to digitise your physical loyalty cards.
Step 1: Gather all your physical loyalty or membership cards
Start by collecting all the cards you want to add to the app. Whether they’re for your favourite grocery stores, pharmacies, or coffee shops, having them ready will streamline the process.
Step 2: Find the “My Cards” tab
Open your Zapper app, click on the “Loyalty” quadrant, and then open the “My Cards” tab. This is where you’ll store and manage all your digitised cards. It’s neatly organised to keep things simple and accessible.
Step 3: Choose how to add your cards
There are multiple ways to upload your cards, depending on what works best for you.
✅ Select from a pre-set list
Zapper has a curated list of popular retailers and service providers, allowing you to quickly select and add cards from well-known brands like Woolworths, Checkers, Dis-Chem, and many more.
✅ Scan the barcode
Use the “My Cards” camera feature to scan the barcode on your card. This is the fastest and most accurate way to upload cards with barcodes.
✅ Upload manually
You can type in the card number and name. This option is ideal for cards without a barcode.
✅ Add other cards
If your card isn’t listed in the app, simply choose “Other” and input the details. This flexibility lets you store any loyalty card, regardless of how well-known the merchant is.

Using your digital wallet is just as simple.
Step 1: Open the Zapper app
Navigate to “Loyalty” and then the “My Cards” tab, where all your digitised loyalty cards are now stored once uploaded.
Step 2: Tap on the card you need
Select the specific card you want to use. The app will then display its barcode in a large, clear format on your screen, making it easy to scan.
Step 3: Present the card for scanning
If you’re at a checkout till, simply position your phone on the scanner and let the system read the card. It’s fast and eliminates the need to search through the wallet. Or, hand your phone to the teller so they can scan the barcode directly from your screen.
After you’ve scanned a specific card and tapped “done”, it will move to the top of your “My Cards” list view, making all your most-used cards more easily accessible.
